Why Choose No Man's Land Studio?

   Authenticity
Here at No Man's Land we pride ourselves on our passion for historical knowledge. A lot of time and effort goes into ensuring that our uniform and camouflage colours are accurate and authentic. That is why we are the go-to painting service for a lot of our clients who insist upon historical accuracy when it comes to their miniature collection.

Skillset
We combine our knowledge and passion for history with well honed skills in the brushwork and artistry of miniature painting. You will be able to clearly identify the nuances between a denison smock and splittermuster camo. Eyes can be picked out on a 28mm miniature to bring them to life. Our painting services will provide you with a collection of painted miniatures that you can be proud of.

Professionalism
What use is being skilled and knowledgeable if you are not professional? At No Man's Land Studio we set incredibly high standards for our customers. You can expect regular communications with your assigned artist, either by email or phone, as well as regular high-end photographs throughout your project. Equally where so many companies get packaging wrong, NML get it right. Our miniatures are packaged incredibly well and we do not spare the resources when it comes to protecting them to ensure that they get to your door in the same high quality that they left the studio.

FAQs

1. How are your costings worked out?  When you send us details of your project we will send you back an estimate displaying how long it will take to complete, price & shipping costs. Please see the commission prices in our artist portfolio for full details.

2. What information do you need to prepare a budget?  We need your name and email address as well as the amount and type of miniatures. We also need to know if you wish for us to buy the miniatures in for you or would you be sending them direct to us. Do the models require assembly? Do you want them based and if so what theme etc?  Reference photos if possible. Basically as much detail as you can provide!

3. Can you order in the miniatures?  Of course. We are able to buy the models direct (at full retail prices) and add these to your quote.

4. What payment information should I be aware of?  We accept payments by PayPal or Bank transfer. Payment is required upfront when making your booking in order to reserve your slot. However we do offer a split 50/50 payment option (see payment options beneath).

5. How accurate will the paint job be, in comparison to their real life counterparts/historical uniforms etc?  Please be aware that gaming miniatures are not always suitable for 1:1 detail as you would see in real life. camouflage schemes, embroidery, rank insignia's and other fine details often need to be abstracted when compared to their real life counter parts. Probably the best way to see the level of details produced at the studio is to scroll through the vast array of photos on this website or on our Instagram page. Historical accuracy is important to us and so we aim for our historical figures to be represented as authentically as possible.

6. Can I alter the contents of a project once it is ongoing?  No. Once the project has been booked in (ie deposit paid) then no changes can be made to it. No additional figures can be added in, or taken away from the project once booked as an appropriate time slot has been allocated. Clients are advised to be absolutely certain on what/how many figures they require prior to booking with us.

7. Do you offer international shipping?  Yes. We have customers of our miniature painting service from many parts of the world. We ask that customers confirm their location on booking so that we can ensure that all postage quotes are as accurate as possible. Please note that we have had an increasing number of custom charges applied from the UK borders for us receiving models into the UK from customers overseas especially from the US. These are often in the region of £45-55 for these shipments to be released. This is NOT something we have control over unfortunately and do have to pass this charge onto customers (we will always photograph and share the letter we receive). If you do not wish to pay, we will refuse your shipment and it will be returned to you direct from the postal service. One option to negate this is for us to order direct from UK stockists to our address. Please let us know if you require this on booking so we can include these costings in your quote and allow sufficient time for delivery.

8. What happens if the models I send to NML get broken on delivery to the studio? No Man's Land Studio cannot take responsibility if the models you send to us get broken enroute to us and we may not be able to repair them. Gun barrels and spears are very easily broken so please ensure that models you send to us to paint are packaged sufficiently.

9. Do you offer refunds?  We do not offer refunds generally. Once a project has been completed several high quality photographs will be sent to you prior to final shipping to confirm that you are happy with the final result. If upon receiving the models you are not satisfied with the product we can offer for you to return the models (at your expense) to the studio to make minor amendments. We are confident that our photographs, regular communications and packaging standards will ensure that you do not encounter such issues with our service, but we do accept that artwork is subjective and are happy to make minor adjustments should you feel it absolutely necessary.

Please note that you are responsible for the models should you wish to return them to us. No Mans Land cannot take responsibility should they become damaged upon return transit to us, so please ensure you package them sufficiently and each figure is individually protected.

10. Can I store my models with you if I intend for you to paint them in the future?  Yes of course, however we can only store models in our studio that have been booked into the system (ie a deposit has been paid for them). If the models have not been booked in for a commission slot then we cannot provide storage for them.

11. Ive not used your services before. Do you offer sample figures? No we don't offer free samples im afraid. However if it is you first time using our services why not stick to a very small commission of 4-5 miniatures initially? That way you can get a complete feel for our business without worrying too much over costs etc.

50/50 Payment
Payment is normally made in 2 parts, ie 50% upfront and the following 50% once the models have been painted & prior to shipping.

- If the client has still failed to pay the final 50% fee within 30 days of project completion then No Man's Studio reserves the right to keep models in order to recoup any losses incurred.
