Desert Afrika Korps (DAK) Bolt Action Project Part One

 Hey folks,

As some of you might be aware I have been commissioned to work on a rather large 28mm Desert Afrika Korps army for Bolt Action. I am a few weeks into the project now and I thought I would share some of my progress with you. 

The client wanted a battle worn force with a mixture of paint schemes and uniforms to replicate the various types and conditions of kit the German forces had during the campaign. Tanks have been heavily weathered / chipped and the infantry uniforms have around 6 different shades from tropical greens to light sand colours.

To start with I painted several of the infantry elements. These are mostly from Warlord Games, but also a DAK squad from Artizan Designs.

The DAK support group pack makes for a really good purchase for your army building, including everything from Officers, medics to support weapons. There is a support pack available for most factions/armies at Warlord Games and I think these are the probably the best purchase you can make for any new force you want to start up.
